Professionally, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that has been working in community mental health since 2010. I have a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from North Georgia College and State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University. I have experience treating a variety of disorders in a population of individuals with serious mental illnesses. I have specialized training in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
Personally, I'm many different things. I am a mom of two, I'm an adventurer, I'm a backpacker, I'm a reader, I'm a Pinterest failer, I'm a Netflix binger, I'm a lover of learning, I love diversity and the things we can learn from those that are different from us.
I'm an INFP and my three main values are kindness, compassion, and genuineness. I'm in my own mental health recovery, therefore I use many of the recovery strategies that I recommend in therapy, as well as have an understanding of where the individuals I work with are coming from.
